about

Undefeated Belfast talent Caoimhin Agyarko signed a long-term promotional deal with Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Boxing in October 2021.

‘Black Thunder’ (12-0, 7 KOs) harbours dreams of becoming Ireland’s first ever black World Champion and the former Holy Trinity amateur standout believes he now has the perfect team around him to achieve his goals after signing a management deal with STN Sports.

Agyarko previously fought at Middleweight but will now campaign down at Super-Welterweight for the foreseeable future. The 25-year-old made his debut in the division with a 10-round unanimous points verdict over Lukasz Maciec on the undercard of Derek Chisora-Kubrat Pulev in July 2022.

Black Thunder was due out again on the same bill as Katie Taylor a few months later, but was forced to withdraw due to injury before returning 11 months later on KT's historic homecoming bout against Chantelle Cameron. Agyarko banked 10 valuable rounds against Grant Dennis.

Agyarko returned in December 2023 in front of a home Belfast crowd in a huge step-up against Troy Williamson. Black Thunder finished strongly to earn a majority decision win over Trojan and pick up the WBA Continental Super-Welterweight Title.
