Rising Super-Lightweight prospect Khaleel Majid signed a multi-fight promotional deal with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing in April 2023.
The 25-year-old from Bolton, trained by Paulino Silva out of Paulino’s Boxing Gym in Manchester, has progressed to 10-0, with three of those wins coming by knockout, since joining the professional ranks back in September 2018.
Managed by Sam Jones, ‘Major’ has also spent time in his career training out in Los Angeles out of the same gym as Ryan Garcia. He hopes to throw his name into the mix in a thriving 140lbs scene that is currently being led domestically by his new stablemate Dalton Smith.
Majid made his Matchroom Boxing debut in August on the undercard of Galal Yafai-Tommy Frank. Majid scored a first round knockdown against Alessandro Fersula before eventually going the eight round distance for the first time as a professional.
Majid travelled to Liverpool in October to take on Tom Farrell in his own back yard and delivered a fine stoppage performance.
