about

The 26-year-old from Queensland, Australia has won all 23 of his professional contests since turning over in March 2016 and currently sits well positioned with the WBO and IBF for a World Title charge in the Super-Lightweight division in 2023.

'The Prodigy' first caught the eye with on the Jake Paul-Tyron Woodley 2 undercard, outpointing previously unbeaten Puerto Rican Yomar Alamo via split decision over ten rounds. Paro then secured a highlight-reel knock-out over fellow Australian Brock Jarvis in the opening round as the main event of Matchroom's debut show Down Under in Brisbane in October 2022.

Forced to pull out of a World Title shot against Regis Prograis in the summer of 2023 through injury, Paro eventually returned from injury as chief support to Haney-Prograis in December. After a cagey start against Montana Love, Paro turned the screw to drop and stop Love in a statement performance, claiming the WBO Intercontinental Super-Lightweight Title in the process. He will now look for World Title opportunities in 2024.
