Beatriz 'The Beast' Ferreira inked a long-term promotional deal with Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Boxing in July 2022 before making her professional debut in Cleveland just over three months later.
Prior to turning over, Ferreira had a glittering amateur career. She won Lightweight gold at the 2019 AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships in Russia and claimed silver in the Lightweight category at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Despite turning pro, The Beast intends to go one better at the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
The 29-year-old is an aggressive, come-forward fighter and she put on a thoroughly impressive display against an unbeaten Taynna Cardoso on debut, twice dropping her fellow Brazilian en route to a four-round shutout decision victory. Ferreira insisted on three-minute rounds for her paid bow.
Out less than a month later for her second bout, Ferreira again caught the eye, this time stopping 7-2 Carisse Brown inside two rounds on the undercard of EstradaChocolatito3 in December.
