Hamza Uddin turned professional with Matchroom Boxing towards the backend of 2023 after a glittering amateur career but was forced to wait until the following April before making his debut on the undercard of Peter McGrail-Marc Leach.
It proved worth the wait as Hamza put on a clinic before stopping Santiago San Eusebio in the third round with devastating combinations. Back out in the June, Hamza had to fight three-weight classes above his natural weight just to secure an opponent but he still won every round of the six round distance to move to 2-0.
Hamza stepped up again against former Midlands Area Flyweight champion Benn Norman in just his third pro fight, winning on points on the undercard of Sunny Edwards vs Galal Yafai in November 2024 to close out the year.
