After years of back and forth between boxer and promoter, the pair finally came together to strike promotional terms in April 2023, with a deal announced at the weigh-in of Anthony Joshua's fight with Jermaine Franklin in London.

Edwards is regarded as one of Britain's most talented fighters and a force at the lower weight divisions. The 27-year-old has defended his IBF World Flyweight Title on three occasions since defeating Moruti Mthalane at York Hall for the strap in April 2021, but is desperate for unifications and big fights on both sides of the pond.

Showtime showed glimpses of his dazzling potential on his Matchroom and DAZN debut in June 2023 in a routine points win over Chile's Andres Campos before finally landing a big unification showdown with Jesse Rodriguez in America at the end of the year. Edwards dared to be great but fell short, suffering a stoppage defeat in his Flyweight Unification to Bam.
