about

Uzbek superstar Shakhram Giyasov joins compatriots Israil Madrimov and Murodjon Akhmadaliev on a fast track to world title glory.

With over a million Instagram followers and massive popularity in his home country of Uzbekistan, ‘Wonderboy’ rose to fame after winning silver at the 2016 Olympic Games, adding to gold medals at the World and Asian Championships at Welterweight. Giyasov signed with Eddie Hearn in April 2019, and since then has put devastating power to work, highlighted with stunning KO over former world champion Darlyes Perez in Mexico.

Giyasov most recently moved to 14-0 and a step closer to a crack at the WBA World Welterweight Title with a points victory over 27-0 Harold Calderon in an eliminator on the undercard of Regis Prograis' homecoming bout in June 2023.

Wonder Boy took on former World Title challenger Pablo Cesar Cano on the undercard of Edgar Berlanga-Pody McCrory in February 2024 with a shot at the WBA World Welterweight Title at stake for the winner. Giyasov dropped Cano to the body early on before an ankle injury forced Cano to retire from the fight, and boxing, in the 11th round. Giyasov won by technical decision and is now in line to challenge for the World Title.
