Shakur Stevenson inked promotional terms with Eddie Hearn in August 2024, with his first fight under Matchroom Boxing announced as chief support to Beterbiev-Bivol in Riyadh on October 12 against former two-time World Champion Joe Cordina.
The former Olympic medallist has not put a foot wrong since turning pro in 2017 and now stands as a three-weight World Champion. Stevenson is regarded as a generational talent and tipped as the future face of boxing.
The southpaw sensation last dismantled Artem Harutyunyan in July in front of his hometown fans in Newark, New Jersey, winning via a classy unanimous points victory.
The American captured the WBC Lightweight crown back in November 2023 when he outpointed Edwin De Los Santos in Las Vegas to land the vacant belt.
