about

‘The Diva’, who fights out of the Colosseum Gym and Unit 3 Fitness under the guidance of trainers Pete Taylor and Niall Barrett, has won all fifteen of his fights since turning professional in September 2017 at the Devenish Complex in Belfast.

Cully claimed the Irish Lightweight Title by wiping out Belfast’s Joe Fitzpatrick in the opening round of their clash at Ulster Hall in 2020 before adding the WBO European Title to his collection with a second-round stoppage win over Viktor Kotochigov at the Bolton White Hotel in 2021.

The 27-year-old put in a statement performance in his first official fight under the Matchroom banner, wiping out Jaouad Belmehdi in the first round on the undercard of Katie Taylor-Helen Carabajal in October 2022.

Cully put in another eye-catching performance on the undercard of Leigh Wood-Mauricio Lara in February 2023, blitzing an unbeaten Wilfredo Flores inside two rounds to make it five straight stoppage victories.

The Diva landed a chief support spot on Katie Taylor's historic homecoming bill in Dublin in May, but was left stunned by experienced Mexican Jose Felix, suffering a third round stoppage defeat.

Cully changed trainers, moved away to Liverpool to work under Joe McNally in order to re-build his career. He bounced back on the undercard of Cameron-Taylor 2 in November and secured a spilt decision victory over Reece Mould to win the WBA Continental Europe Lightweight Title.
